Refund & Return Policy

This Refund & Return Policy ("Policy") governs returns, replacements and refunds for goods and services supplied by ReliaIT, Main Road, Rajahmundry, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh 533101 ("ReliaIT", "we", "us") to business, institutional and governmental buyers. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Disclaimer.

1. Nature of supply

ReliaIT supplies goods on a business-to-business basis. All sales are governed by the Sale of Goods Act, 1930 and the Indian Contract Act, 1872. ReliaIT is a reseller and authorised dealer and acts as a facilitator between you and the original equipment manufacturer ("OEM"). All goods carry the OEM's standard warranty only; ReliaIT provides no express or implied warranty beyond that.

2. No cancellation after dispatch

Orders may be cancelled free of charge only before the goods are dispatched from our warehouse. Once an invoice has been raised and the goods handed over to a courier or to your representative, the order is considered final and cannot be cancelled unilaterally. Cancellations of custom-printed items (such as pre-printed forms, letterheads, branded stationery) are not accepted under any circumstances once production has commenced.

3. Damage in transit / short supply

You must inspect the goods at the time of delivery and before signing the delivery challan. Any damage, tampering, short supply, or incorrect item must be recorded on the delivery challan in writing, photographed, and reported to ReliaIT by email at info@reliait.net along with the invoice number and photographs within forty-eight (48) hours of delivery. Claims received after this window shall not be considered. ReliaIT's decision on any such claim, after consulting the courier and the OEM, shall be final.

4. Defective or dead-on-arrival goods

If a product is found to be defective or dead-on-arrival ("DOA") on first use, you must notify ReliaIT within seven (7) calendar days of delivery with the invoice, serial number, and a description and photograph of the defect. ReliaIT will, at its sole discretion, either (i) facilitate a DOA replacement with the OEM in accordance with the OEM's DOA policy and turnaround time, or (ii) issue a replacement of the same model, or, if the model is unavailable, a model of equivalent specification. Cash refunds in lieu of replacement are not offered except in the limited circumstances set out in clause 7 below.

5. Non-returnable items

The following goods are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable once the seal has been opened, the packaging has been tampered with or the product has been installed or used:

  • Ink and toner cartridges (inkjet, laser, dot-matrix ribbons, passbook ribbons, thermal ribbons) once the vacuum seal, tape or foil wrap is broken;
  • Paper products including A4 copier paper, continuous computer paper, thermal rolls, pre-printed forms, answer booklets and envelopes;
  • Software, licences, activation keys, digital downloads and subscription services;
  • Custom-printed, customised, engraved or branded stationery, ID cards and visiting cards;
  • Writing instruments, markers, highlighters, glue, tape and other consumable stationery;
  • Items sold on clearance, "as-is", ex-demo, refurbished or discounted basis;
  • Items damaged by the buyer after delivery through mishandling, voltage fluctuation, water ingress, physical impact or unauthorised repair.

6. OEM warranty claims

Post-DOA defects are covered only by the OEM's standard warranty. ReliaIT will facilitate warranty claims by routing the affected product to the nearest OEM authorised service centre, but the OEM's turnaround time, repair/replace decision and freight policy will apply. ReliaIT does not guarantee replacement timelines and is not liable for any downtime, lost data or business interruption pending OEM repair.

7. Refund (limited circumstances)

A monetary refund will be considered only where (a) the specific product model cannot be supplied and no acceptable equivalent is available, (b) the OEM refuses DOA replacement and no replacement stock exists, or (c) ReliaIT in its sole discretion approves a refund. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment source (NEFT / UPI to the original remitter account) within fifteen (15) working days of approval, net of any freight, handling, restocking (up to 15%), reverse-logistics and GST adjustment as per the then-prevailing statutory rules. No interest is payable on refund amounts.

8. Return logistics

Returns must be sent to our Rajahmundry warehouse in the original, unopened packaging with all accessories, cables, manuals, warranty cards, serial-number stickers and invoice copy intact. Unless ReliaIT has agreed otherwise in writing, return shipping is at your cost and risk and we recommend using an insured courier. Goods lost, damaged or stolen in reverse transit are the buyer's responsibility.

9. No liability for data loss

For storage media (HDD, SSD, NVMe, USB drives, memory cards) and any computing device capable of storing data, you are solely responsible for backing up your data before returning or sending the device for service. ReliaIT shall not be liable under any circumstances for loss of data, configurations, licences, or any resulting commercial loss, and replacement / repaired devices will be returned in factory-reset state. This clause constitutes a material pre-condition of this Policy.

10. Marketing content

No refund or replacement may be claimed on the basis of any statistic, counter, "best seller", "most ordered", testimonial, stock indicator or similar figure displayed on the Website. Such figures are governed by the Disclaimer and constitute illustrative marketing content only.

11. Limitation of liability

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Policy, ReliaIT's total liability for any claim relating to any product or order shall not exceed the invoice value of that product. ReliaIT shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages. This limitation is a material condition of supply.

12. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts at Rajahmundry, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh.
